AIDOLTV Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy has been prepared in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Article 1  Overview

MjjigaeCo. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") refers to the programs, software, websites, products, etc. provided in connection with the AIDOLTVapplication (App) (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").  The Company processes personal information based on the consent of customers (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who agree to the terms and conditions of the Service, apply for the use of the Service, and are entitled to use the Service by the Company, and in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company has established and complies with the following basic principles in order to protect the User's personal information and promptly and smoothly handle any complaints related to it.

(1) In order to process the User's personal information, the Company notifies the User in an appropriate way and asks for consent.

(2) The Company processes the User's personal information to the minimum extent necessary for the purpose of providing the Service.

(3) The Company collects only the minimum information necessary to achieve the purpose of processing personal information for the Service.

(4) The Company shall not use personal information collected from Users other than the purpose of processing for the Service, except with the consent of the User or as stipulated by the relevant laws and regulations and shall keep the information for the minimum period necessary to achieve the purpose and comply with related laws and regulations.

(5) The Company strives to keep Users' personal information accurate, complete, and up to date.

(6) The Company shall take appropriate technical and administrative protection measures to protect the personal information of Users.

(7) The Company shall transparently and reasonably establish policies and procedures for the processing of Users' personal information.

(8) The User may access the User's personal information by himself or herself as stipulated by applicable laws, and the User may modify his/her personal information at any time if necessary.

(9) The Company is responsible for managing the collected personal information of Users. The Company listens to Users' opinions on these principles, this Privacy Policy, and applicable laws.  

 

Article 2 Purpose and scope of application of the Personal Information Processing Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we process and protect your personal information, and your rights and choices regarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information we collect when you use the Services, the information you provide to us when you access the Services, and your personal information disclosed by other Users.

 

Article 3  Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Company processes personal information for membership management, Service provision and improvement, and development of new services.  When subscribing to this Service or in the process of using the Service, the Company processes the minimum personal information necessary for the provision of this Service as follows through applications or programs.  This Privacy Policy explains how we process and protect your personal information, and your rights and choices regarding your personal information.  This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information we collect when you use the Services, the information you provide to us when you access the Services, and your personal information that is disclosed by other Users.

(1) User identification/confirmation of intention to join, age verification, prevention of illegal use

(2) Notify Users of activity history or provide functions such as User search and registration

(3) Development of new services, provision of various services, handling of inquiries or complaints, delivery of notices

(4) When using paid services, transfer of content, etc. and settlement of fees

(5) Prevention and sanctions against acts that interfere with the smooth operation of the Service (including account theft and illegal use, etc.)

(6) Customized content recommendation and marketing through estimation of demographic characteristics and User interests, preferences, and tendencies

(7) Service use records, access frequency and statistics on Service use, establishment of Service environment in terms of privacy protection, and use for Service improvement

(8) Information required when using Google Analytics to establish marketing strategies

(9) Providing User video and audio data for technology development such as AI

(10) Transmission of audition applicants' personal information recorded in the app to agencies affiliated with the Company for smooth audition Service operation

 

Article 4  Items of personal information collected/processed

1.  Personal information you provide to us

In order to provide app Services to Users, the Company collects/processes some or all of the following information:

(1) Profile information

Email address, nickname, password, gender, date of birth, profile image

(2) User content and activity information

∙ The Company processes content generated by Users on this platform, and the content to be processed includes preferences set by Users (language selection, etc.), video footage uploaded by Users, and comments by Users. "User Content").

∙ When a User applies an effect to User content, the Company may collect the User content of the User who has removed the effect. The Company may collect information about images and audio that are part of User Content, such as the identification of objects and landscapes contained in User Content, the presence and location of faces and bodies in the image, their features and properties, the nature of audio, and the words heard in User's Content.

∙ The Company uses the collected information for special visual effects, content deliberation, demographic classification, and other non-personally identifiable information processing. In addition, the Company may access content, including images and videos contained in the User's device gallery, with the User's consent. For example, if a User decides to initiate content sharing with a third platform or embed content from the gallery into the app, the Company accesses the information stored in the User's gallery and executes the User's decision.

∙ The Company collects information through questionnaires and auditions in which Users participate. In addition, we collect information related to your use of the Platform, i.e., information about how you engage with the Platform, the content we show you and how you interact, the videos you watch, the problems you experience, your votes, your ratings, the Users you follow, and the companies you cross-follow. This includes interaction with Users.

∙ The Company processes information about the User's followers and the testimonials and reactions received by the User to the uploaded Content in order to promote the User's Content to other Users and to explore whether the User's profile provides opportunities for further collaboration. Where appropriate, the Company uses the foregoing information to inform you of new services and opportunities. 

(3) Information on the use of paid services and payment

∙ When paying by credit card:  card number (partial), card name, card expiration date, etc.

∙ When paying with mobile phone number: mobile phone number, payment approval number, etc.

∙ When using gift certificates:  gift certificate number, nickname, etc.

∙ Other payment:  Information required by PG (Payment Gateway) agency's system

(4) Information related to refund processing

Bank name, account number, account holder's name, e-mail, etc.

(5) Information sent directly by the User

Any information sent by the User to the Company while using the Service (inquiries, etc.)

(6) Survey and event information

Information recorded by the User by participating in surveys, personal information transmitted when participating in events or lotteries (including gender, age, preferences, address, etc.)

2. Information We Collect Automatically

When a User uses the Company's Services, the Company automatically collects some information. The Company may collect information about Users' usage and activities through the Service. When you use our Services, we may automatically record information such as your operating system, cookies, Internet Protocol (IP) address, access times, browser type and language, and websites you visited prior to using our Services. The information we collect automatically includes:

(1) Device Information

The Company collects device-specific information (hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifier, and mobile network information). The Company may associate the User's device identifier with the User's App account.

(2) Log information

When a User uses the Service, the Company automatically collects certain information and stores it on the server. The information we collect includes:

Internet Protocol (IP) address that uniquely identifies your device or app account, device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, language, date and time of use of the App Service, history of visits to our websites, mobile apps and/or computer software.

 

Article 5 Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company does not provide the personal information of the User to a third party except with the separate consent of the User or as stipulated by laws and regulations. When providing or sharing personal information of a User, we inform the User in advance of who is provided or shared with it, what is its main business, and the purpose of providing or sharing personal information, and we will take measures to allow the User to consent or refuse according to the consent procedure for collecting personal information, or notify the User individually by e-mail or in writing and ask for their consent.  However, in the following cases, it is possible to provide personal information without the consent of the User in accordance with the provisions of the relevant laws and regulations:  

(1) When the employer agrees and in accordance with the regulations, or when there is a request from an investigative agency in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed by laws and regulations for the purpose of investigation.

(2) When the employee or his/her legal representative is in a state where he or she cannot express his/her intention or prior consent cannot be obtained due to unknown address, and an imminent danger to the life or safety of the information subject or a third party is clearly identified and is to eliminate it.

(3)  When it is necessary to settle fees for the provision of information and communication services.

(4)  When there are special provisions in other laws.

 

Article 6 Retention period and destruction of personal information 

In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay when the purpose of collection and use is achieved, and the procedures and methods are as follows. In the case of electronic files, they are safely deleted so that they cannot be recovered or reproduced, and in the case of records, printed materials, papers, etc., they are destroyed by shredding or incineration.  However, in accordance with relevant laws and internal policies, the information to be destroyed after storage for a certain period of time is as follows.

(1) The following information will be stored for up to one year from the date of withdrawal and then destroyed:

∙ Encrypted account for sending guidance email and responding to CS inquiries and withdrawal guidance email address

∙ Record of illegal use of the Service

∙ Records necessary to prevent duplicate provision of Service benefits

(2) The processing and retention period of personal information is as follows:

∙ Member registration information: The Company separately stores or deletes the personal information of Users who have not used the Service for 1 year in accordance with the 'personal information validity period', and the personal information stored separately is stored for 4 years and then destroyed without delay.

∙ Audition application information: Other information generated to apply for audition when using the Service is for review purposes until the audition result is determined.

(3) Even if the User withdraws from the Service, the Company may keep the personal information of the User when it is reasonably necessary as follows.

  ∙ To comply with applicable laws, regulations or legal obligations

  ∙ To complete the customer support services we were providing

  ∙ To mediate disputes between Users or otherwise

  ∙ To prevent unauthorized use or abuse of Services

(4) In addition, personal information that must be kept for a certain period of time in accordance with laws and regulations and applicable laws and regulations are as follows.

∙ Records on contract or withdrawal of subscription: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)

∙ Records on payment and supply of goods: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)

∙ Records on handling consumer complaints or disputes: 3 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)

∙ Records on collection /processing and use of credit information: 3 years (Act on the Use and Protection of Credit Information)

∙ Records on display/advertisement: 6 months (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)

∙ Login record: 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act)

 

Article 7 Technical/Administrative Protection Measures for Personal Information

The Company considers the valuable personal information of its Users as the most valuable value and is making the following efforts in handling personal information.

(1) Encryption of personal information of Users: The personal information of the User is transmitted using an encrypted communication section, and important information such as passwords is encrypted and stored.

(2) Protection from hacking and computer viruses: In order to prevent leakage or damage of Users' personal information due to hacking or computer viruses, the system is installed in an area with restricted access from the outside. We have installed a system that can detect and block intrusions such as hackers and monitor them 24 hours a day, and we install an anti-virus program to prevent the system from being infected with the latest malware or viruses. 

(3) Minimizing the number of people accessing personal information and maintaining and training: The Company minimizes the number of employees who process personal information, assigns and regularly updates passwords for the database system that stores personal information and the system that processes personal information, and always emphasizes compliance with the Company's personal information related policy and personal information processing policy through frequent training for the person in charge. 

(4) The Company checks the implementation of the personal information processing policy and the compliance of the person in charge through personnel in charge of personal information protection, etc., and strives to correct and correct any problems that are found. However, we are not responsible for problems caused by the leakage of personal information such as ID and password due to the User's own negligence or problems on the Internet.

 

Article 8  Law on Children

The Company strives to protect children under the age of 14.  The Company has decided to restrict the use of the Service in order to protect the personal information of children under the age of 14.  Until the legal representative authentication process system is technically established in the Service, children under the age of 14 are not allowed to create profiles and cannot upload their cover videos to the Service.  Content uploaded by children under the age of 14 using adult information without permission will be suspended and suspended as soon as it is discovered.  If you suspect that we hold or collect personal information about a child under the required age, or if you have any questions, please contact our Report Center (support@aidol.tv).

Article 10 Changes to Personal Information Processing Policy

(1) This personal information processing policy is applied from the effective date, and the Company may modify the personal information processing policy for the purpose of reflecting changes in laws or services. If the personal information processing policy is changed, the Company will post the changes, and the changed personal information processing policy will take effect 7 days after the date of posting. However, if there is a significant change in the User's rights, such as changes in the items of personal information to be collected or the purpose of use, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.

(2) This Privacy Policy is effective from February 15, 2023.
